Tax-free giving directly from your salary is an easy way for you to help protect children.
Every child should have a safe and happy childhood. Abuse, neglect and trauma are robbing them of their childhood years. Children are experiencing a mental health crisis, made worse by online harm, exploitation and social media bombarding them with unrealistic expectations.
Scotland’s children urgently need your support.
With payroll giving you can give as you earn. It’s an easy and convenient way to make a regular donation to Children First, tax-free, directly from your salary. The donation is taken before the tax is deducted. For example, a monthly donation of £10 will only cost £8 of your take-home pay, depending on your tax rate.
All you need to do to get started is complete our online payroll giving form – simply choose the amount and frequency you would like to donate, and we can help take care of the rest.
Why payroll giving?
Payroll giving is a fantastic way to ensure long term support for Children First. Regular donations allow us to plan and ensure that much-needed services are accessible for children and families across Scotland. Your donation will change the lives of children and families.
Donating regularly through payroll giving is tax-efficient and admin light. There is no need to provide us with any bank details and should you decide to stop or amend your donations, you can simply contact the payroll department at your place of work.
How does payroll giving and tax relief work?
Payroll giving is set up through your employer, deducted from your salary before you are taxed. Many workplaces offer to match employees’ donations to charity. Please check with your employer to see if they can match your gift.
