Wellbeing and Protection in Sport

Sport should be a safe and fun environment for all participants, with organisations feeling able to take the best possible action to safeguard current and future participants in sport.

Children 1st Case Management Support Service is a new partnership between Children 1st and sportscotland that supports Scottish governing bodies of sport (SGBs) to manage wellbeing and protection concerns about children and adults in sport.

We provide:

• advice on adult and child wellbeing and protection in sport, providing template policies and procedures.
• consultancy to help sports organisations when a wellbeing or protection concern is received, through case management and taking action to keep the sports environment safe.
• training to develop understanding about the case management process, including investigations and disciplinary processes.
• resources including policy templates, guidance documents, topic specific briefings and regular updates.
