Maggie Craig welcomed as new Children 1st Chair
Mary Glasgow, Chief Executive of the children’s charity, said:
“Maggie has been a Children 1st Trustee since 2020 and it is a privilege to welcome her as Chair. Maggie brings a wealth of professional and personal understanding of our work.
“Maggie is the Head of the Financial Conduct Authority’s devolved nations team, an honorary Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and sits on the Board of the Scottish Courts and Tribunal Service. In all her work, Maggie is passionate and active about advancing diversity and inclusion, with a particular focus on mental health issues. All of us at Children 1st look forward to continuing to work with Maggie to ensure we continue to adapt to meet the levels of need, challenges and change that children and families in Scotland face.
“On behalf of everyone at the charity, I’d also like to thank outgoing Chair, Ken Cunningham for his direction and hard work over the past six years, to make sure that more families in Scotland got the help and support they needed to put their children first."
Maggie Craig, Chair of Children 1st said:
“I am delighted to take over as chair from Ken Cunningham under whose leadership Children 1st has thrived through some of the most challenging times. I look forward to working with the Board of Trustees, the Executive Leadership Team and all of our teams, members and supporters to continue to put children first and steer the charity forward with purpose, vision and ambition on behalf of all the children and families who need us now more than ever across Scotland.”
