Children 1st welcomes Promise Plan 24 - 30
Commenting on the launch of the Promise Plan 24 -30 Mary Glasgow Chief Executive, Children 1st said:
“Plan 24- 30 is a crucial step in the journey to keep the Promise that all children grow up safe, loved and respected and, wherever it is safe, with their family.
“We welcome this new approach and the clear call to focus on children and families before policies and practice.
“The plan reinforces the importance of tackling child poverty and the vital role that intensive, holistic support plays in keeping families together and breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma. We are delighted to see the plan shine a spotlight on the importance of Bairns Hoose and Family Group Decision Making in realising the ambition of the Promise.
“We look forward to continuing to work with partners, across all sectors, to ensure every child and family in Scotland get the support they need, when they need it, to help keep the Promise.”
