Where your money goes
Our work supporting vulnerable children and families would not be possible without the generosity of our supporters, donors and corporate partners
Every penny raised stays in Scotland, and last year, Children First supported 18,617 vulnerable children, young people, parents and carers across the country.
How your donation helps
No family is the same, so the specific needs of those we support are different in every case. However, here are just some ways we use your kind donation to help children and families in Scotland.
- £20 could provide art supplies and snacks for a group of children attending a craft session
- £32 could provide a family support session to talk about the basic needs of the family, their anxieties and mental health worries
- £40 could allow a young person to access a therapeutic session that will help them begin to recover from trauma and/or abuse
- £60 or £5 per month could pay for an activity session for a group of children to help them build friendships, develop new skills and grow in confidence
- £100 could pay for three hours of advice and support from Children First support line, which helps parents across Scotland keep their children safe, loved and well
- £120 or £10 a month could provide 12 children with a new book by post every month to develop literacy and the joy of reading
- £150 could provide a crisis voucher so a family with three children can get food and essentials
