Fusion from Children 1st wins Young Scot Award
Sophie’s Song is an emotional piece of music, written by Sophie, about her experience of being a victim of crime whilst a child and the traumatic process of going through the criminal justice system.
Fusion recorded Sophie's Song to accompany a film being produced by about our work to develop Scotland’s first Bairns’ Hoose in Scotland - a warm and friendly place for children who have been victims or witnesses of crime to get the justice, health and support they need to recover as quickly as possible from their experiences.
Recording the song was made possible thanks to the People’s Postcode Lottery, who is supporting the development of Scotland’s first Bairns’ Hoose through their Dream Fund.

“I feel so overwhelmed about winning the Arts Award as I just didn't expect it. I'm really excited and honoured we were picked as the winner from the other amazing finalists. I'm just in shock right now but I just think you should always follow your dreams and don't let anyone stand in your way.”
